Q. How much do plans typically cost?

A. Fees vary depending on the scope of services required for a particular project.
Commercial and industrial projects are based on a percentage of construction costs,
and residential projects are based on a “per square foot” cost.
Smaller projects might be charged by a flat fee or by an hourly fee.
We are always willing to discuss your specific needs and provide an estimate.

Q. How long does it take to prepare construction documents (plans)?

A. The time can vary depending on the scope of the project, the client’s ability to
participate, and our ability to get prompt feedback from the various regulatory
agencies. The average time to procure commercial entitlement (planning, building,
engineering, and fire approvals) is 3-4 months. After that, the construction document
phase can take between 6-12 months or longer depending on project size and
complexity.

Q. How can I be sure I can afford the project?

A. We at Omega Design Group will be happy to sit down and discuss the level of finish
desired on your project and the estimated costs to complete it.

Q. What is your policy regarding plan check corrections?

A. Plan check corrections are handled promptly, typically with no additional charges to
our clients.
